Welcome Angler,

June is here and the fishing has been fantastic as of late.
Check out the latest fishing report from Albert Mismash
at Gunnison Fish and Raft:
The Upper Gunnison River, (Almont, Colorado to
Blue Mesa Reservoir) is beginning to fish VERY WELL
without the late June/early July pressure. The snow-pack
in the southern Elk Mountains has peaked and
turbid water is cycling out. We're starting to see
dry-fly action daily after noon. Double bead headed
tandem rigs are producing strong bows, cutt-bows and browns.
Water temps are in the high 40's-to-mid 50's. Float or wade
trips are available with discounted lodging packages thru June.

Current hatches = Caddis/Mayfly (marginal)
Flys of choice = Double B.H. Stones (gold or black); Coneheads Buggers;B.H. Flashback Pheasant Tail Nymph; B.H. Coachman Nymph

The Hot fly = Stonefly Nymph (Double Bead Head)

Section Fished = Lower Taylor River / Upper Gunnison River

Weather = Variable

Thanks for checking in today.  Thanks to Gunnison Fish and Raft for today's report.
