Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Although most rivers are running swift with spring run-off throughout the Gunnison Valley this weekend, you'll find active fishing in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and on Blue Mesa.  Or if you're looking for a great hiking and fishing day trip, check-out Lake Irwin, near Crested Butte.

Here are the results from the Monarch Pass Search and Rescue Fishing Tournament at Blue Mesa held this past weekend:

1st Place:  Lanny Moore and Mark Gannon of Pueblo, Colorado(18.14 lbs-8 fish)
2nd Place:  John Hergert and Pat Criswell of Leadville, Colorado
3rd Place:  Andy Cochran and Ryan Van Lanen of Gunnison, Colorado

Proceeds from this tournament will benefit search and rescue Lights and Sirens.
