The Catch Fishing Report

Good Afternoon,

Brian Bell at Almont Anglers checked in this morning with a report of consistent caddis, midge, stone, and mayfly activity on the Taylor River today as well as over the course of the last 72 hours.  His fly choice today included pt's, princes, copper johns, and buggers, including the black bugger which was his fly of choice.  Brian was able to land some fish today, despite the East and Gunnison River's being in full run-off mode.

I did a recon mission up Spring Creek this morning (sorry for the delay in the report) and the water was in one word: high.  Spring run-off is in full force and the only fish I saw today were in kayaks.  Just kidding of course, however run-off water is a force to be reckoned with.  Please consult an outfitter if you're unsure of water safety precautions.
