Daily Catch Fishing Report 05-14-06
Good morning!
The fishing weather today will definitely be more comfortable before 1pm, as weather is expected to build through the afternoon once again. Tom at Troutfitter Sports reports active lake trout fishing in the Taylor Reservoir Saturday morning. Trolling deeper waters proved to be the productive method for his boat.
CFS flows have moderated in the last fews days; expect outstanding water clarity today on the Taylor River, Spring Creek, Gunnison River below Blue Mesa Reservoir, as well as on the Upper Slate River where river access is becoming easier with the rapid spring snow melt. Flows on the Colorado River at the Utah State line have dropped off considerably in the last week. An early end to run-off for 2006? We'll keep an eye on it. Check current CFS readings for major Colorado Western Slope rivers at FishCrestedButte.com on our USGS River Flow page.
Thanks for checking in today and enjoy the sunshine and light winds this morning.
Fish-On!
